Alkesh Bodar comes from Bavliyapal village of Bhiloda Taluka ,District Sabarkantha. His family consists of seven members. His family lives in utter poverty with a temporary shelter over their head. His family’s only source of income is farming. Since the childhood he saw his father and mother working hard on fields to support the family. Being the eldest among the siblings he was desperate to do something meaningful to help his family and to provide better education to his siblings.
After appearing in 12th std. exams enrolled himself in the 1st batch of Insurance and wealth Management batch of the IMS Proschool Vanbnhu Yojna program. He was an introvert but the once the training started he started enjoying it and was transformed completely into a confident and expressive young man.
Soon after the completion of the training he was placed with India Infoline a corporate Insurance Agency with a salary of five thousand +incentives at Ahmadabad. While rest of his batch mates who were placed along with him left the job fearing the target pressure but he trusted his guts and stayed there alone. Within a short span of time he earned eleven thousand rupees and company rewarded him by providing free accommodation and was made team leader.
Today, Alkesh is not only enjoying success in his career he is also extending helping hand to other youth like him. And has emerged as a role model for his community and other candidates at IMS Proschool
Sharmistha kalasva a twenty six years old female (of third batch) was married at an early age after the completion of
12th class. She hails from Dhandasan Village of Bhiloda Taluka. Within the fourth year of her marriage she gave birth
to three children. Her husband is unemployed. Her family consists of seven people, her mother, her husband and her three kids. The survival of the whole family totally depends on agriculture. There is no source of fix income.
She used to work as a field laborer to support the family and to raise her kids. The life looked gloomy to this mother of three. She was always worried about the future of her kids. She came to know about the Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana run by IMS Proschool at Idar. It came to her as a silver lining in the dark sky. She joined the retail and sales management course. The training at IMS Proschool transformed this introvert and low self esteemed lady into a confident and enthusiastic person.
After the completion of the course she was selected by Sodexo food and facility Management company during the campus interview. She was placed in IIM Ahmedabad canteen as stewardess. There she has to mange the buffet system for students and staff members of the IIM institute with a starting salary of Rupees Five thousand four hundred sixty two per month. She found the job quite interesting and since the last three months she is sticking to her job with help of her in-laws as they are taking care of her kids at home . According to her “ IMS Proschool has helped her a lot in transforming her attitude towards her life and she has learnt there how to manage her personal and professional life at the same time’’ Now she wants to become the canteen supervisor with her dedication and hard work. she is inspiring her husband also to do something so that they both can raise their kids and give them a better life .
Chandrika Kharadi hails from Andharia village (Bhiloda Taluka of Sabarkantha District). She belongs to an impoverished family of five members. She is second among the siblings. Her father is a farmer and the sole bread earner of the family. It was difficult for him to make both ends meet to raise a family of three children and give them good education as well.
Chandrika managed to pass 12th std. and was thinking about her future. It is then that she attended a road show conducted by IMS Proschool, where she filled the enquiry form and enrolled herself for the program next day.
When she joined the program, she had low self esteem and a bit of stuttering problem. She underwent one month training at the IMS Proschool campus . The training taught her many things and greatly boosted her confidence . After the completion of the training she was placed with Sodexo food and facility management a MNC at IIM Ahmedabad as cocounter and catering helper with a salary of Rs. 65544 CTC with free food +accommodation alongwith PF and ESI facilities .
With a zeal to excel and quest to learn things rapidly she came into the good books of manager and other team members. In her own words “ I am happy that my dreams have finally been fulfilled and shall continue to work hard to rise higher in my career . God puts us through several testing situations in life . It is our duty to fight and overcome them. It is important to be positive and take every challenge as a blessing”.
