The Proschool CFA Pass Commitment

If you follow the programme and don’t clear your CFA level, we re-enrol you in the next batch with same faculty, same mocks, no extra tuition. This is our written policy.

What is the Pass Commitment, in one single sentence

If you complete the Proschool CFA programme as defined below and still don’t clear the relevant CFA level on your first attempt with us, Proschool re-enrolls you in the next applicable batch with the same faculty and same mocks at no additional tuition fee.

Eligibility — who qualifies for the Pass Commitment

To qualify, you must satisfy ALL of the following on the date of your CFA exam:

  • You’re enrolled in a paid Proschool CFA programme (CFA Prep, CFA + Financial Modelling, CFA + IMS MBA, or Full Charter). Free trials and demos don’t qualify.
  • You’ve attended at least 80% of scheduled live classes (online or classroom). Recordings count, provided they’re watched within 7 days of the live session.
  • You’ve sat all 5 mock exams in your cycle (4 mocks at L2/L3) under exam conditions and submitted them through the Proschool portal.
  • You’ve achieved at least 60% on Mock 5 (the dress-rehearsal mock). This is the cut-off for ‘programme-ready’.
  • You sat your CFA exam in the cycle for which you were enrolled, not skipped it or deferred to a later cycle.
  • You complete a post-exam debrief with your assigned mentor within 30 days of receiving your CFA result.

What you receive if you qualify and don’t clear

You’ll receive ALL of the following at no additional tuition cost:

  • A seat in the next eligible Proschool CFA batch for the same level with same faculty, same mocks, full classroom or online access.
  • A revised study plan written by your mentor based on your previous mock and exam scores.
  • An additional 1:1 mentorship slot every 3 weeks for the duration of the new batch.
  • Free access to any new question-bank items released in the interim.

What’s NOT covered

Plain language so there’s no surprise later:

  • CFA Institute exam fees and registration costs. These are paid to CFA Institute (USA), not to Proschool. We don’t, and can’t, refund or pay these on your behalf.
  • Optional add-ons (study tours, alumni events, premium 1:1 packs) purchased separately.
  • Travel, accommodation, or test-centre costs.
  • Cohorts joined for free (e.g. via partner-college sponsorship without separate Proschool invoice).

How the re-enrolment works in practice

Step by step:

  • 1
CFA Institute publishes your result. You share the result screenshot with your mentor (within 30 days).
  • 2
You attend the post-exam debrief, a 30-minute call. Your mentor reviews your mock scores, exam reflection and topic-level performance.
  • 3
Together, you pick the next batch, typically the immediately following Proschool cycle.
  • 4
Proschool re-enrols you. Same access as your original cohort. New mocks, new question-bank releases, included.
  • 5
You sit your next CFA attempt. The Pass Commitment applies again on the same terms.

More about Pass Commitment

How many times can the Pass Commitment be invoked?

Twice per level. If after two re-enrolments you still haven’t cleared the level, the original commitment lapses and any further coaching reverts to standard pricing.

When was this policy was last updated

Last updated: 2026. Proschool may revise these terms periodically. Any revision applies to enrolments made AFTER the revision date. Your existing enrolment is governed by the policy in force on the date you paid your tuition.

How to claim the Pass Commitment

There’s no claim form. The commitment is invoked automatically when you share your CFA result with your assigned mentor. The post-exam debrief is the only required step.

Disputes

If you and Proschool disagree on whether the qualifying criteria were met (typically attendance or mock-submission), the Academic Head reviews the case within 7 working days. The Academic Head’s decision is final.

FAQ’s

No. It’s a re-enrolment commitment. If you qualify and don’t clear, Proschool re-enrols you in the next batch with the same faculty and mocks at no extra tuition fee. We don’t refund tuition, because the goal is to keep coaching you until you clear, not to give your money back.
Because it goes to CFA Institute (USA), not Proschool. We’re a coaching institute, not the awarding body. CFA Institute’s fees, registrations and exam logistics are entirely outside Proschool’s control. We’ve been transparent about this distinction since day one.
Sitting all mocks is a qualifying criterion. If you miss a mock for medical or family reasons, your mentor can authorise a make-up sitting within 14 days of the original mock date. Skipping a mock without a make-up disqualifies you from the Pass Commitment for that cycle.
Live attendance counts as 100%. Watching the recording within 7 days of the live class counts as 80% (because you miss the live Q&A). Watching after 7 days does not count toward the 80% attendance threshold. The portal tracks all of this automatically.
Yes. The commitment applies separately at L1, L2 and L3, on the same terms each time. You qualify for each level independently based on your attendance, mock submissions and Mock 5 score in that level’s batch. Failing one level doesn’t affect commitment eligibility for the next level.

No — to pass the exam. Yes — to earn the charter. CFA Institute requires 4,000 hours of relevant work experience over at least three years to award the charter (separate from passing the three exams). The work experience can be collected before, during, or after the exams. Proschool’s L3 programme includes work-experience documentation support.

India: ₹16–30+ LPA in the first 1–3 years post-charter. Senior charterholders with 5–10 years post-charter regularly earn ₹40 LPA to ₹1 crore+, especially in portfolio management and senior wealth roles. Abroad: $120K+ entry, $300K+ senior in Singapore, UAE, UK and US. The charter pays back fastest in portfolio management and buy-side research.
