Passed All ACCA Exams? Here’s What Next?

Completing all ACCA exams is a massive milestone. To transition from Affiliate to full-fledged ACCA Member and secure a high-impact global finance role, you must complete the Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM), fulfil the Practical Experience Requirement (PER), and strategically market your new credentials.

Before applying for full membership, you must tick off two non-exam requirements:

• Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM): Finish this interactive module on the official ACCA Global EPSM portal. It usually takes around 15 to 20 hours to complete.
• Practical Experience Requirement (PER): You need 36 months of relevant finance or accounting work experience and the sign-off of 9 Performance Objectives. Register your hours in the MyExperience Record online tool.

As an ACCA affiliate, you possess the academic qualifications expected by top-tier firms. Key career pathways include:

• Global Capability Centres (GCCs) & Captives: GCC located in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and some newly setup in Hyderabad, heavily recruit ACCAs for roles in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), statutory reporting, and IFRS conversions.
• Big 4 & Mid-Tier Accounting Firms: Audit and Tax teams are highly receptive to ACCA affiliates.
• Expected Compensation: Fresher ACCA affiliates in India typically earn between ₹4 LPA to ₹8 LPA, depending on the firm type.

To stand out to recruiters in the financial hubs:

• Update your Status: Make sure your LinkedIn profile reflects “ACCA Affiliate” rather than “ACCA Student.”
• Highlight Core Skills: Emphasize hands-on technical skills, particularly advanced Excel, ERP familiarity (like SAP or Oracle), and IFRS/Ind-AS compliance.
• Leverage the Career Portal: Actively use the ACCA Careers Board to find jobs specifically tailored for affiliates and members.

Once your 36 months of PER are validated by an IFAC-qualified supervisor and your performance objectives are signed off, log into your ACCA Apply for Membership page to submit your final application and upgrade your status to ACCA Member.
