Yes, the CFA Course Level 3 is flexible in nature in that it encompasses both classroom and online teaching modes based on the needs of the student.

  1. Start Early for Level 3 of  The CFA Program Training
  2. Huge jump in the difficulty level from Level 2.
  3. Although the pass rate is 43% which is higher than Level I -But understand that the competition now is against the ones who have proved themselves at Level 1.
  4. The greatest subject load is accorded to portfolio management and wealth planning i.e. 45-55% of total.

The exam pattern is as follows –

  • The exam is divided into two sessions; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
  • The exam format provided is a mix of item set questions (similar to Level II) and essay type questions. .
  • In the morning session, there are 10 to 15 essay-type questions. These questions may offer you a situation and ask you to develop your own recommendation or solution.
  • In the afternoon session, there will be 10 item sets. Each item set consists of a case statement followed by six multiple-choice questions.
  • There is no negative marking in the exam.

CFA Institute conducts level 3 exams annually in June. The registration fees for the Level 3 of The CFA® Program are as below –

  • Early Registration fees : USD 700
  • Standard Registration fees: USD 1000
